Small Details

When we restored the farmhouse at Lenora's Legacy, we took great care to give it a warm, homey feeling. My grandparents once grew peaches and cotton here on the farm here, and I remember what it was like to visit them when I was growing up. The small details and vintage treasures which now fill the farmhouse help to bring to life that same welcoming feeling the house had when my grandparents lived here. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do!

Like any Southern lady, my grandmother enjoyed needlework. Of course, with 11 children to clothe, sewing was also a neccesity!

 

Most of these special items are in the bridesmaid suite. We have three bedroom suites available for the bridal party to dress on the morning of the wedding: one for the bride, one for her bridesmaids, and another for the groom (far away, so he does not accidentally see the bride before the ceremony!) Inside the Farmhouse: The Bedroom Suites {Part 2 of 2}

As we promised in our last post showing pictures of our lovely bedroom suites, we are back with another batch of photos. We just had too many pictures of the pretty details in the dressing suites to fit them all into one post. Inside the Farmhouse: The Bedroom Suites {Part 1 of 2}

Welcome back to our tour inside our restored farmhouse. Today we invite you to see the bedroom suites where the bride, bridesmaids, groom, and groomsmen can dress before the wedding. They are designed to be comfortable and tranquil, and isn't that just what every bridal party needs as they prepare for the big event? Naturally the bride's quarters and the groom's suite are far apart so there is no risk of the groom catching a glimpse of her before the wedding ceremony. Let's visit the gentlemen's quarters downstairs, and then we will head up to the bridal suite...

Oh my goodness, we love to see the bride's wedding dress hanging up in her suite!
