Summer Wedding Inspiration

As we mentioned, this is our final summer wedding season, and we can't wait to enjoy every beautiful detail. To kick off the upcoming summer weddings, we thought it would be fun to share with you some of our favorite summer wedding details from the last few years. Fresh berries, scrumptious cupcakes, and colorful flowers - can't you practically feel the summer sun on your face?

Caroline and Jamie had the perfect look for a summer wedding - a light colored suit and tie for the groom, and a soft lace gown for the bride.  Their bridesmaids (below) carried through the theme, with soft lace pastel dresses, paired with beautiful colorful bouquets.

Vibrant colors look fantastic for summer weddings in details from bridesmaid dresses to pennant flags to flowers. Don't be shy about mixing and matching bright colors! The trick to making it work is to choose different colors with equal intensity.

These bright summer centerpieces with orange slices have been a popular wedding flower pin on Pinterest.

Roses are not only a timeless wedding flower, they are the flower for the month of June. They also fare well in the heat, making them a favorite for summer brides. Hydrangeas are a natural complement, but aren't the tiny succulents also a nice surprise?

We loved every detail of Sarah and Tay's wedding, from the gingham tablecloths to the bright mixed bouquets in eclectic vases to the assorted vintage chairs.

Fresh fruit, berry and lemonade flavored cupcakes, and ice cold drinks are all on the menu for summer wedding receptions.

Even wedding favors can take on a fun summery theme. They can be as simple as baskets of ripe summer peaches or have a cute motif like old-fashioned glass bottles of Coca-Cola with bags of popcorn.

Last, but not least, what would a summer wedding be without lawn games? From oversized Jenga to monogrammed cornhole boards, outdoor games are always a fun addition to a summer celebration.

Hannah Brannon and Joseph McCall - September 5, 2015

Hannah Brannon and Joseph McCall married on September 5, 2015, a beautiful late summer day with very nice weather. The decor was so, so pretty with soft pastels, romantic ceremony florals, and a gorgeous arched entrance for the bridal party.

The arched ceremony entrance had a vintage look, complemented by the rustic doors and the barrels from our very own display barn. This has to be among the prettiest outdoor ceremony decor we've ever seen at Lenora's Legacy.

I really liked the tree stumps beside each row of chairs, accented with loose floral arrangements in shades of pink and white.

The bridesmaids wore a lovely, feminine collection of soft pastel hues. They looked simply exquisite.

The flower girl and ring bearer looked like they were from another era - so timeless and appropriate for the wedding.

Such joy! The best weddings are usually also great reunions of dear friends and far-flung family.

Hannah was a truly lovely bride. Simply radiant.

The doors and floral arched framed the ceremony in such a dreamy way.

Hannah and Joseph watered a potted tree for their unity ceremony. It was very moving.

Oh my goodness, this hairdo is divine!

I love this moment - it captures the joy of the newlyweds so well.

Isn't this the sweetest moment?

The wedding had the nicest people in attendance with lots of adorable little ones.

Romantic flowers, tall candles, and burlap decorated the reception tables.

How beautiful is this petite wedding cake topped with fresh roses and pennants bearing Scriptural descriptions of Love
